Metric System (pdf)

In our research facilities tests are continuously performed to obtain life expectancy data under various operating conditions. To establish the performance and life expectancy for bellows, all conditions must be known. To avoid design errors it is important to consider all special operating conditions that might affect the bellows performance.

The following information (minimum) should be considered to develop an optimal bellows design and engineered proposal.

  • Smallest internal diameter
  • Largest external diameter
  • Material specification
  • Internal/External pressure requirements
  • Working temperature
  • Movements (axial, lateral, angular)
  • Life cycles
  • Spring rate if known
  • Media conveyed
  • Overall length
  • End configurations(see drawings following)
  • Specified quantity
  • Test requirements if known
